Overview

Much like our previous assignment, multicultural and diversity influences impact research and publication. It is important to be able to incorporate these concepts and factors into your research. For this assignment, you are asked to write a 5–7 page research paper that explores this topic. 

Preparation

To prepare for this assignment, first select a topic to focus your paper on: 

●      The impact of multiculturalism on research outcomes. 

●      The role of cultural competence in research. 

●      The ethical implications of conducting research with diverse populations.  ● The importance of diversity in research teams. 

Then, spend some time in the Capella University Library locating at least five peer-reviewed, scholarly journal articles that support your analysis. In particular, the

RSCH7020 Library Research Guide has been created to help you in this course.

Assignment Instructions

Write a 5–7 page research paper on the ethical principles and standards in research

and publication. The paper should include: 

1.     An overview of the multicultural and diversity influences in research and publication. 

2.     A discussion of the importance of these concepts and factors in research and publication. 

3.     An analysis of the strategies that can be used to address these influences in research and publication. 

4.     An analysis of your selected topic that relates to the use of multicultural and diversity influence in research: 

○ The impact of multiculturalism on research outcomes. 

○ The role of cultural competence in research. 

○ The ethical implications of conducting research with diverse populations. 

○ The importance of diversity in research teams. 

5.     A conclusion that summarizes the key points of the paper.

●      Resources: Support your work with at least five peer-reviewed scholarly sources.

●      APA formatting: Resources and citations are formatted according to APA style and formatting guidelines. 

○      Include both a title and a references page.

●      Length and Format: 5–7 typed, double-spaced pages of content in addition to a title page and references page in a Microsoft Word document. Other file formats will not be accepted.  

○      Font and font size: Times New Roman, 12 point.
